Rada Lab Works 2024: Saturday
A series of original theatre works from RADA’s graduate community. Shows included in this evening: Unsewn and I.D.S.T.
Part of The Coronet Theatre and RADA’s partnership to present RADA’s MA Theatre Lab’s Lab Works.
The week-long project combines workshops and scratch nights, and culminates in a series of original ‘theatre-shorts’, enabling artistic development, public visibility, and new networking opportunities for these emerging artists.
Unsewn
Created by Barkha Bahar and Federica Ruggieri
Two women. Two suffering opposite worlds. One dress connecting them through its seams: a threat that becomes a thread. A mysterious presence hides in the folding. A Goddess ready to catch fire.
A theatre performance using magical realism to explore the oppressions faced by women from different parts of the world. They find strength and solidarity through the mystical powers of fierce Indian Goddesses.
I.D.S.T.
Created and performed by Ludovica Tagariello and Jake Walton
Tell me what you see. A detail that is not poetic. It isn’t about pretending. Every word I say is a promise. Why did you come here?
I.D.S.T. is a theatrical exploration of a symbiotic relationship in a unique liminal space, where two characters navigate games, rules, and memories to uncover the essence of humanity. It’s a physical journey delving into truth and the depths of personal experience.
We don’t speak about a memory as if it were something that could be changed. If Destroyed Still True.
